A Plan and Vision for the Future

Over the past two years, Trinity's Building Committee has worked to construct a vision for the future of our church. Our greatest need was to create a space that would facilitate worship and encourage and equip our church family and friends in our daily walk.

During the planning process, every ministry and minister had the opportunity to lend voice in creating the new church campus we will one day call home.

The result is an architectural plan with a blend of the Ancient and Future. The facade of the building will have a unique look in our county that will set us apart from other churches. The interior space will provide a practical, current, and warm approach to worship, fellowship, and discipleship. It is our desire to make this vision a reality. As we are faithful to this call, we will honor the Lord in the days ahead as we build toward the future.

We hope you will join us at our current interim location:  5780 Fairburn Rd. Ste. A, Douglasville, Georgia 30134.  We are really enjoying our current worship space and believe it is the step that will lead us to our more permanent home.  We are called to this season of discipleship and growth so that we can prepare to break ground on the future that is in store for Trinity.

Come join us on this journey!  It is an exciting time to walk along side of other believers who are actively living out their faith!  We hope you will visit soon!

Our Beginnings.Trinity Church began as a small mission of people interested in growing their faith. Our first meetings were very simple and we gathered together in a private home for prayer and fellowship.  It is hard to imagine that this all took place just a few short years ago.

Although still very young by human standards, God has blessed this new work with numerical growth, financial stability, the call of a full-time pastor and an increasing ministry outreach based on the call our members and friends to live out their call to love as Christ first loved us.

2008. In the summer of 2008, the Trinity church family met at our nine acre tract of land and began to pray and seek the Lord’s heart for our church. Faithfully, we asked the Lord to guide us as we prayed for direction on such a big decision – the purchase of land for our future church home.

We asked the Lord to show us His will and give the people of Trinity guidance regarding this step of faith. The following Sunday brought a unanimous parish vote to approve the purchase of the land on Pool Road in Douglas County.

Marked by a large cross at the church property, our future church home is a reminder of our call to build the mission and reach many for Christ. Through our future church home, we seek to welcome many others into fellowship, and plant a heart for missions and outreach to those who are seeking to know Christ.

2009. In the spring of 2009, we celebrated Easter Sunrise at our new property and held our week long vacation Bible school for our children and youth at the new location. Most recently leaders of churches from Douglas County met at the cross on our property to pray for an amazing mission project directed at reaching our middle school and high school youth for Jesus Christ.  We now understand even more that the church is not the building where Worship is held. No, it is the people who desire to honor the Lord with their lives and their time that make up the very foundation of the church.

In the fall of 2009, with our architectural plan for our new church campus complete, we are now working to turn our vision into reality. This is the Lord’s church and we desire to build it with Jesus as the cornerstone of everything that is done. To Him be the glory!
