The Core Values and of Trinity Church were adopted by its membership in May, 2004 after considerable prayer, discussion, and reflection. This statement of belief is our own humble work and is not drawn from any other source other than Scripture and Prayer. We have committed to uphold these values as individuals and members of a faith community without compromise.
Jesus Christ is Lord
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). There is one God, eternally existing and manifesting Himself to us in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God, and the only means of salvation.
Authority of Scripture
"You have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3: 15-17) The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God.
Sacramental Worship
"And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you, do this in remembrance of me.’ Likewise, He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.’ " (Luke 22: 19-20) In obedience to our Lord’s command to remember His sacrificial death (1 Corinthians 11:23-26), Holy Communion is the center of our traditional Anglican liturgical worship. We partake of Christ’s Body and Blood with repentant hearts, acknowledging that we are saved only by His grace and sacrifice.
Prayer (Key Aspect of “Living Out” our Faith)
"Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Phillippians 4: 4-7). An active prayer life, as individuals and as a community of faith, is absolutely essential so that we may hear God’s call to us.
The Fellowship of Believers
"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all people.” (Acts 2:42-47) We support each other as friends and fellow believers in all the times of our lives, as a true community of faith.
The Great Commission
"After his Resurrection, Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matthew 28: 18-20) Our church is called to spread the Gospel throughout this community and the world.
