The Fellowship of the Believers
“They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:42-47
What to expect when you visit Trinity...We are created to Worship! That’s right! God’s people are called to praise, give thanks, and worship! There is no doubt that we all worship someone or something. That is why the Lord formed the church. We are called to worship and pray continually – when we are joyful as well as when life is not going so well. Let’s face it, we need the Lord. We can meet Him in Worship. Please join us!
We worship weekly...Styles of worship vary yet we are called to worship the Lord – weekly. In the book of Hebrews 10:24-25 we read,
“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Trinity offers a Traditional Service (also known as a Rite I service) for those who desire a more formal style of worship or liturgy. This service remaining consistent and similar each week begins at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. Readings from the Old Testament, Psalms, Epistles, and Gospels are read at each service. Holy Communion is also celebrated at this liturgy.
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday just after the 8 a.m. service and just before the 10:30 Worship Service.
Contemporary Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday and is a gathering for song, prayer, Bible readings, children’s sermon, the message based on the Scripture, and Communion. Our Worship components for encountering God through praise and thanksgiving bring life to our church family, friends, and visitors. This service is always “covered” in prayer – asking the presence of the Lord to fill our hearts and do great work within our mission church. Most importantly, we begin each week by asking the Holy Spirit to come and fill the Worship with His glory. We pray the Lord will transform and renew our hearts and that He will come in power and meet us where we are.
Both “Ancient and Future” – That is our tradition and what makes Anglican Worship so special to those seeking to know the Lord more fully. Our Worship is based upon the early practices of the church. So it is easy to see that our roots to the “ancient” give life to the “future” of worship.
We are Biblical. The Bible is Truth and it is the Living Word! All that we do is meant to honor God’s Word. It is through the reading of the Word, praying the Psalms, remembering the words spoken by Jesus at the Last Supper that draw God’s people to the Communion of saints.
Whether you are looking for a traditional style of Worship or a more contemporary style of Worship, we encourage you to come and experience worship at Trinity. Your visit is important and we want you to feel welcome!
